How now brown cow.

As it has been such a long time since any of my Facts Of The Day, and as I mentioned in my previous post, I am taking full responsibility for all of you looking dim and ignorant at social occasions.  And I am truly feeling the burden of this responsibility.

As a result, I have compiled a list of ten words and phrases that you can drop into any conversation to immediately make you seem more scholarly and astute, thus saving you from looking like the unintelligible acquaintance from the hills.

1.      Inquire
E.g. I would like to inquire how much a Jagerbomb is.

2.      Hence
E.g. I drank so much last night, hence why I’m feeling so ill today.

3.      Adjacent.
E.g. McDonalds is adjacent to TopShop.

4.      Avant-garde.
E.g. Lady GaGa has a very avant-garde fashion sense.

5.      As it were.
E.g. You were right about her, she’s taught many guys how to ride a bike, as it were.

6.      Be that as it may.
E.g. I only met him for a few hours, but, be that as it may, he should have text me after last night.

7.      Indubitably.
E.g. He was indubitably an absolute hotty.

8.      On the contrary.
E.g. I wasn’t revising last night, on the contrary, I was in Oceana.

9.      Nonetheless.
E.g. I don’t remember a single thing about last night, nonetheless that surely means I had an amazing time.

10.   Superfluous
E.g. She kissed a superfluous amount of guys last night.

No need to thank me now.
